Mums to be 'suitably spoiled' by Boots beauty box that gets £276 worth of products for £55

High-street retailers have gone head to head in a bid to bring out the best Mother’s Day beauty boxes that balance impressive products with value for money. And after analysing the contents of bundles from four retailers, it was that I think is one of the best buys for gifting, or treating yourself this March.
Worth £276.50, the edit , saving more than £220 on the RRP. Inside there are 15 products spanning makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance, nine of which are full sized.
While it might be the most expensive to purchase, with and costing £25 and £30 respectively, while is £50, Boots’ offering has the highest overall RRP. It also boasts the most products and with each product working out at £3.66, it’s one of the best value to get more bang for your buck.

There are some incredibly popular brands featured, including high end favourites like Bobbi Brown, Liz Earle and NEOM Wellbeing, as well as popular brands like No7 and Sol de Janeiro. It feels really well-rounded, and I think any mum opening this on March 30 would feel suitably spoiled.
One of my favourite products inside was the in the flattering and very wearable shade Taupe. The creamy formula glides onto lids and blends effortlessly to create an insanely easy eye look that looks like you spent way more time on than you actually did. As such, I can already see this becoming a mainstay in my makeup bag and I’m already eyeing up new shades.
One of the highest value products - though by no means the most expensive - is this 30ml, which would usually set shoppers back £40. The serum works to moisturise the skin and increase deep skin hydration for up to 72 hours. I’ve used several REN products over the years and I really rate their gentle formulas, and this serum is no exception and quenches my dry winter skin in an instant.
There were a couple of products that missed the mark for me - and seemingly other shoppers too. The was not a great shade for me and was far too light, meanwhile the mini CK One Unisex fragrance felt a little outdated. One shopper agreed, commenting: “Great box, full of things i will use. A nice mix of skin care and an eye shadow and lip product I will use. Not sure about the fragrance, CK one feels a bit dated and out of place.”
I also thought the Elizabeth Arden Retinol + HPR Ceramide Rapid Skin Renewing Water Cream 5ml was too small of a sample to decide if it were any good or not, and while I know Grown Alchemist products are highly popular, I didn’t love the smell of the Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream. However, that’s not to say other people wouldn’t love them, and if you find there are products you won’t use, there’s always the option to gift them for birthdays or save them for Christmas stocking fillers.
Another product that I’ve used previously and love is the which is a dream for creating a soothing atmosphere in the bedroom. I also appreciated the restock of my go-to Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion, and the Patchology Chilled On Ice Firming Eye Gels, with this being one of my favourite brands for non-slippy and effective under-eye patches.
The box has earned a , with one commenting: “Bought this beauty box for my mum for a Mother’s Day treat. Box is beautiful well presented. Can’t wait for her to open it. A great variety of products.” Another added: “Early Mother’s Day presents And wow so lovely and definitely worth the money.”
A third echoed much of what I said, commenting: “I was in need of a cleanser and I knew the Fresh Soy Cleanser is a tried and tested one so I thought I could do with trying some new products. I wasn't expecting much but I'm wonderfully surprised at how good the selection of products were. There's no duplication of products here like multiple lipsticks or moisturiser. The only thing I probably wouldn't use is the No7 matte lip blur. The shade is too light, I think it would have been better if they stuck with a blush as was written on the box . Still, I definitely recommend this to anyone even if you're not intending to gift this for Mother's day.”
